The Knox-Galesburg Symphony has been presenting free concert previews designed for preschool through 5th grade children since 1985.
This educational program brings students from local school districts together to hear a live performance by members of the Knox-Galesburg Symphony.
Many KGS guest artists perform in Galesburg schools on the Thursday or Friday before their concerts with the Symphony. In addition, Bruce Polay often visits music appreciation classes at Galesburg High School and Carl Sandburg College.
An annual competition sponsored by the KGS for students from ages 5 to 14, who live in Knox and Warren Counties.
This annual free concert performed on the lawn of Old Main at Knox College gives families from all walks of life the opportunity to enjoy an afternoon of beautiful symphony music.
