Recognized as one of the world’s leading intellectuals, Czech-born Ludmila Knezkova-Hussey is an internationally known pianist and composer. Following extensive studies from age six, she graduated from the Special Music School for Gifted Children in the Ukraine and continued her studies at the prestigious Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. Hussey is recipient of numerous honors including first prize in both the Czech National and the Smetana International Piano Competitions and has performed as soloist in more than 45 countries appearing with many of the world’s finest orchestras. In 1993, she founded the Ludmila Knezkova-Hussey International Piano Competition, inviting a select group of top pianists competing from over 60 countries.
