FREE 25th Annual Concert on the Lawn5:00 Knox College - Old Main South Lawn
If inclement weather, concert will move to Knox T. Fleming Fieldhouse
This annual free concert performed on the lawn of Old Main at Knox College gives families from all walks of life the opportunity to enjoy an afternoon of beautiful symphony music.

Rachel Stenzel, violin
2010 Midwest Young Artists Competition Winner
Thirteen-year old Rachel Stenzel began her musical training on the piano at age five and began studying the violin at age nine. Currently a member of Midwest Young Artists (MYA), she performed with the MYA Concert Orchestra as winner of their 2010 Walgreens Concerto Junior Division Competition. She was then featured on WFMT’s (98.7FM) broadcast: “Introductions.” Also in 2010, she placed 2nd in the Rockford (IL) Symphony Orchestra’s youth concerto competition. In 2009, she won the Junior String Division of the Chandler Starr Miller Scholarship Competition of Rockford’s Mendelssohn Performing Arts Center, received honorable mention in the Early Music category of the Walgreens MYA competition, and placed 3rd in the Olympic division of the Granquist Competition in Geneva (IL). Prior to joining the MYA, Stenzel was a member of the McHenry County Youth Orchestra and recipient of its LAMMS scholarship.
