"Two virtuosi...a fine, expressive conductor, and a gifted violinist."

Carles Coll, founder and director of the Orquestra de Cambra de l’Emporda (OCE) and founder of the Jove Orquestra de Cambre de lEmporda (JOCE) in Spain, is also conductor of the Orquestra Simfonica Emporda Llenguadoc Rossello (OSELR). A pianist and composer, Coll has appeared as soloist and guest conductor with many orchestras, including the Ensemble Orchestrale Perpignan-Languedoc-Roussillon, the Cappella Istropolitana, the Slovakian State Chamber Orchestra, the Cukurova State Symphony Orchestra of Turkey and the Symphony Orchestra of Bucharest.

Eva Leon is one of the most successful Spanish violinists of her generation.  La Vanguardia (Spain) hailed her as a violinist that “has the power to captivate the five senses of her audience,” and Neue Press (Germany) described her as a “charismatic violinist who possesses, along with her musical talent and tremendous aura, a gift for expression.”

A native of the Canary Islands, Leon has won numerous major Spanish violin competitions, taking top prize at the Michelangelo Abbado International Violin Competition, and Laureate at The Maria Canals International Violin Competition.  In 2006, Leon won the 33rd Artists International Annual Debut Prize, which led to her debut at New York’s Carnegie Hall.  Leon has appeared on tour in some of the most prestigious music halls throughout the United States, Europe, Middle East and Latin America to great audience and critical acclaim.  A few of the many orchestras with whom she has performed internationally as a soloist include State Symphony Orchestra of Mexico, the Moldavia National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Columbia National Symphony, the Castilla y Leon Orchestra, the Bratislava Chamber Orchestra, the Las Palmas Philharmonic, the Emporda Chamber Orchestra, the Valles Orchestra, and the Cologne Ensemble Orchestra and the Boston Classical Orchestra, among others.
