Knox-Galesburg Symphony principal bassoon since 1998 and principal bassoon with the Regensburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Dr. Douglas Huff is professor of  bassoon at Western Illinois University and a member of the Camerata Woodwind Quintet. Huff has appeared as soloist with orchestras in the United States, Germany and Korea. He is a recipient of two Fulbright Grants and numerous awards including an Iowa Arts Fellowship. Huff plays a restored 1930 Heckel bassoon.

Principal flute for the Knox-Galesburg Symphony for 15 years, Carol Neuleib received her bachelor and master of music degrees from Illinois State University, where she studied with Max Schoenfeld. Neuleib continued her studies with Julius Baker, principal flautist with the New York Philharmonic and professor at the Juilliard School in New York. Neuleib has a private flute studio and has been a member of the Classique Woodwind Quintette of the Quad Cities for over twenty years.

Dr. Nancy Gillett, Knox-Galesburg Symphony (KGS) principal oboe, taught at Bradley University and Illinois Central Colleges and was principal flute for the Peoria Symphony and Opera Illinois from 1978-89. Besides principal oboe with the KGS, Gillett performs with Opera Illinois, the St. Martin Chamber Players, and the Heart of Illinois Wind Quintet and maintains a private flute and oboe teaching studio.  Gillett attended Kent State, East Carolina University and the University of Illinois.
