“One of Mexico’s most valued artists.”
One of Mexico’s foremost violinists, Felix Parra has been concertmaster of The State Orchestra of Mexico since 1981, also serving as concertmaster for other premier orchestras in Mexico and abroad including the World Philharmonic Orchestra (Montreal) and La Orquesta de Baleares (Spain). As soloist, he has performed throughout Mexico, South America and Europe with an extensive repertoire that emphasizes Mexican composers. On five separate occasions he served as a judge for the Henrik Szeryng International Violin Competition in Mexico. Parra studied under some of the greatest violinists include the legendary Polish-American, Henrik Szeryng.
